County Social Service Offices: Your local office can help you enroll in many programs including; Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), heating assistance, Medicaid, children's health services, basic care assistance, child care assistance, home and community-based services and supports for elderly and disabled individuals, personal care assistance, child welfare (foster care, child protection services, child care licensing, and related services), and referrals to other local resources and programs. North Dakota Public Health: Designed to help low income population get medical care, Public Health offices can assist clients in Immunizations, Women’s Way, Flu shots, and any other medical needs. Please visit http://www.ndhealth.gov/ for more information and to locate a clinic near you.

Legal Services of North Dakota: This non-profit provides legal assistance in a variety of matters to low income and elderly North Dakotans. Help is available by calling these toll free numbers 1-800-634-5263 (for those under age 60), and 1-866-621-9886 (for those over age 60). North Dakota’s Housing Finance Agency: Dedicated to making housing affordable for all North Dakotans, this agency facilitates affordable mortgage financing, assures the continued availability of low-income rental housing, and seeks to provide for the state’s changing housing needs.
